Workshop Description

In this workshop, participants will learn the fundamentals of guitar playing, empowering them to independently practice and develop the basic skills required to functionally play the instrument. They will learn how to tune in the standard E-A-D-G-B-E guitar tuning, engage in basic major, minor, and pentatonic scale exercises, and learn to play common chords and chord progressions. Additionally, participants will be introduced to the basic parts of the guitar and learn what role each plays in the instrument’s functionality. Participants of all abilities are welcome. Led by: John Wanser Date: Tuesday, September 27th Time: 4pm - 5:30pm PDT Cost: $5 Materials: -Six string guitar (acoustic or electric) -Guitar tuner (alternatively, participants can use sound of instructor’s guitar as audible tuning guide) -Guitar pick (optional)

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy – Learn for Life by Able ARTS Work Please be advised that cancellations made up to 7 days before a scheduled class via the scheduling system and an email to learnforlife@ableartswork.org will be processed with a full refund. Cancellations made between 7 and 3 days before a scheduled class via the scheduling system and an email to learnforlife@ableartswork.org will receive a refund of 75% of the cost of the class. Cancellations made 3 days or less before a scheduled class will not receive any form of refund. If Learn for Life cancels a scheduled class for any reason, a notification will be emailed out and all scheduled participants will receive a full refund.
